Activity day at Youlbury

Today the Group split into three teams and had a 2 hour session in the morning and a 3 hour session in the afternoon. The activity sessions were the amazing 3G Swing (see video below), Leap of faith, Climbing, Jacob's Ladder, Abseiling and the Aerial Trek. The photos say it all.

It was a good day for the participants. They had the opportunity to experience the real activities we came for and morale is very high. With the exception of the odd lazy character everybody is participating and having fun.

We have been treated to a first-class culinary experience with Chef Ed V keeping us very well fed. Tonight is steak with mash, veggies and ice-cream for dessert. Later on we're planning a session of biscuits and hot-chocolate over a small campfire - after the night-game.

The Grated Cheese Adventure

After a long shopping expedition in which Maxine, Josephine and myself became 'acquainted' with each and every roundabout in Oxfordshire, we eventually found the Tesco's Superstore we were looking for.

The pressure was already considerably high because of the late delivery of the rental vehicle and the subsequent humane comments from the rest of the leaders. Imma insomma....

We eventually found Tesco's and did our much-needed shopping. The problem was that there seemed to be no proper grated cheese - except for grated cheddar - which attracted many more humane comments. Things got bad when Ed V, the chief commentator, actually managed to find GRATED ITALIAN PARMESAN CHEESE at the same shop. The rest is history.
